If you are one of many people who works from home you probably know that the holiday season can be a very stressful time. This is the time of year that almost every business owner is equally as busy with their personal lives as they are with their work lives. How are you supposed to accomplish your christmas shopping, go to your holiday parties and stay on top of your year end deadlines?
Here are a couple of ideas: Organize your schedule and make sure you have a good idea of what needs to be done and by when. If you do so in advance it allows you to give yourself set days off in order to fulfil all of your personal commitments over the holidays. Sometimes it is easier to focus on work for shorter periods of time, maybe take a break in your work day and schedule a set amount of time to finish some of that shopping you have to do and then go back and finish the rest of the work you have to do that day. Going with the theme of planning ahead make sure that during the time you have scheduled for family or friends you focus only on family and friends. The holidays are always a good excuse to be away from work so take advantage and turn off you phone for a bit and leave those emails for a later time. Happy Holidays! [feather_follow]
